Grow
SEO that is measured in enquiries, not in rankings alone.
A ranking is a means. What matters is whether the people searching for what you sell find you, and whether the page they land on answers the question they typed. Most of that is decided by technical health and structure long before anyone writes a blog post.
- Capability group
- Grow
- What that group is for
- Get found and win more customers
- Who it is for
- Businesses that depend on being found for commercial searches and are currently invisible for them, or dependent on paid traffic to compensate.
- Where it stops
- Organic search: technical health, site structure, and content built to answer a real query. Paid placement is SEM. Being quoted by an AI assistant is GEO — related work, different mechanics, and deliberately a separate page.
Why organic search stalls
Search visibility usually fails for one of three reasons, and they need different fixes. The site may be technically hard to crawl or slow enough that it is not competitive. It may be structurally wrong — no page exists for the thing people search for, so a single homepage is trying to rank for everything. Or the pages exist but do not actually answer the query, in which case more of them will not help.
Diagnosis comes first because the wrong fix is expensive. Publishing content against a broken technical foundation wastes the content. Rebuilding a site that was structurally fine wastes the rebuild. And no amount of either helps if the pages are written for the business rather than for the person searching.
We report against enquiries and qualified traffic, not against a rankings screenshot. Ranking movement is an input; whether the phone rings is the outcome.
Common signals
- The homepage ranks for the company name and almost nothing else.
- There is no page for the specific service people actually search for.
- Paid search is carrying traffic that organic ought to be earning.
- Content is published regularly, and the enquiry volume has not moved.
- Nobody can explain which pages currently earn organic traffic.
What we can help with
Which of these applies is a diagnostic question, not a package. The audit decides the order.
- Technical SEO
- Crawlability, indexation, canonicals, redirects, site speed, structured data and the errors that quietly suppress otherwise good pages. The unglamorous half, and often the half that is wrong.
- Site and content structure
- Deciding which pages should exist, what each is built to answer, and how they link to each other — so intent is not spread thinly across pages competing with one another.
- Keyword and intent research
- The searches that indicate commercial intent rather than the ones with the largest volume, mapped to the page that should own each — with an explicit boundary between adjacent pages.
- On-page optimisation
- Headings, metadata, internal links and copy that answer the query directly, written for the person searching rather than assembled around a keyword count.
- Content that earns the position
- Service, industry and explanatory pages with enough substance to be the best available answer. We would rather publish four pages worth reading than twenty written to a word count.
- Local and map visibility
- Business profile, categories, consistency of business information, and the on-site signals that support it, where the business genuinely serves a location.
- Measurement and reporting
- Search Console and analytics wired to the enquiry path, reported plainly — including the months where a number did not move and why we think that is.
How an SEO engagement usually runs
The first month is diagnosis. Committing to a content calendar before that is committing to a guess.
Technical and content audit
What is broken, what is missing, and what is already working and should be protected. Prioritised by likely effect, with the reasoning attached.
Intent and page map
The searches worth owning, the page that owns each, and where the boundary sits between adjacent pages so they do not compete.
Foundations
Technical fixes and structural changes first, because content published on a broken foundation is wasted work.
Content and on-page work
Pages built or rewritten to answer their query properly, in priority order, with internal linking updated as the set grows.
Measure and revise
Monthly reporting against enquiries and qualified traffic, and a revised plan — search results move, so a fixed twelve-month plan is a fiction.
Where it connects
SEO and paid search answer the same commercial question on different timelines. Paid buys visibility immediately and stops when the budget stops; organic compounds and is slower to build. Most businesses want both, sequenced deliberately rather than run by two suppliers who never speak.
The technical and structural work here is also the groundwork for AI search visibility, which is why the two engagements overlap in practice even though they are separate pages — and why neither is sold as a guaranteed position.
What to expect from us
- No guaranteed rankings, positions or timelines. Anyone offering those is guessing or worse.
- A diagnosis before a plan, and a plan that says what we are not doing.
- Reporting against enquiries and qualified traffic, including flat months.
- Changes explained in plain language, so your team can keep them intact.
